Donate to the Darrell Bowersox Kitchen

For the first time in a generation, Darrell Bowersox is not serving food to Baker Universtiy students and faculty. After 26 years of dedicated service and shaping the Baker cafeteria into what seemed like his own personal kitchen, he retired.

In addition to his tireless dedication to the University, Darrell found time to be an active member of the Baldwin City community.  Over the years he spent countless hours volunteering with the local Cub Scouts, Lions Club, and American Legion.

His community service has not gone unrecognized; he and his wife, Annie, served as the 2002 Grand Marshals of the Maple Leaf Festival parade, and Darrell was awarded the Partnership Award by Baldwin City's Chamber of Commerce.

But we think he deserves to be recognized again.

Because of his many contributions to the Baker University and Baldwin City communities, it is fitting to honor Darrell with the kitchen at the Lumberyard Arts Center bearing his name.  The "Darrell Bowersox Kitchen" will be a testament to his selfless dedication to friends and neighbors.

Are you willing to join us in honoring Darrell in this way?  We are asking for donors to contribute $25, $50, $100, or more to show their appreciation to Darrell and what he means to our community.  Your contribution will help us retire the debt on the Lumberyard Arts Center and support the ongoing programs offered through the center.

Over the last quarter century, Darrell Bowersox has given stellar service to the Baldwin City and Baker University communities.  We hope you will join us in honoring him by establishing the "Darrell Bowersox Kitchen" at the Lumberyard Arts Center.
