Location

The Lumberyard Arts Center is located in historic downtown Baldwin City, Kansas at 718 High Street, in the Historic Ives-Hartley Lumberyard building.

We are open for limited special events during construction renovation.  Come to Baldwin City and enjoy our home town atmosphere while you keep an eye on our progress.

Baldwin City and Lumberyard Arts Center is a lovely day-trip out of Kansas City and cities around northeast Kansas. 

FROM KANSAS CITY:

Take I-35 South to the Gardner, KS exit for 56 HWY. Travel on 56 HWY for 17 miles to reach Baldwin City. Head South (a left) down 8th Street to High Street. Park amongst the shops and restaurants and enjoy.

FROM SOUTH KANSAS CITY:

Take I-35 North to the 59 HWY exit at Ottawa. Travel north on 59 HWY to the 56 HWY intersection. Head East (a right) to Baldwin. Turn right on 8th Street to High Street. Park amongst the shops and restaurants and enjoy.

FROM I-70:

Take the second Lawrence exit (from either direction) and head South on 59 HWY approximately 15 miles to the 56 HWY junction. Turn left (East) and travel 4 miles to Baldwin City. Turn right (South) on 8th Street. Travel to High Street. Park amongst the shops and restaurants and enjoy.
